The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts (aka the Penn State evidence) is one of the granddaddies of the fine art fair business--and is celebrating its 55th Festival this year.

Celebrating not merely visual arts just as well performing arts, the event brings together Penn State alumni, local people and the art-curious to enjoy a special event held in a lovely setting on the quaint college streets and the verdant university campus.

• the works of more than 300 exhibitors incorporate one of the nation's best juried fine art and arts and crafts shows, currently rated atop Sunshine Artist mag'due south 100 best fine art and pattern shows listing
• Penn Country Arts Festival Alumni weekend brings members of the largest dues-paying alumni clan in the country back to "Happy Valley" for the weekend…of music, dorm nutrient, and shopping
• A Children and Youth Day where an estimated 150 young Central Pennsylvania artists showcase their original works, with free fine art activities and performances dedicated to the immature
  
• Italian Street Painting Festival which honors the 16th century Italian tradition of using special chalks to paint on the street, featuring professional street painters
• International, national and regional music, dance and theatrical performances on 3 outdoor stages and at a variety of indoor venues
• The oldest races in Central Pennsylvania, produced in conjunction with the Nittany Valley Running Society. Sunday forenoon sees 500 runners participating in 5K, 10K, and 10 mile races though the Festival zone.

Artists are chosen through a competitive jury process to ensure high quality artists with a variety of incredible works of art.  Two hundred artists from 30 states and Canada will be chosen to bring their fine artwork to you.

The creator and chief performer in "Facing the Bull". Lisa is a Bucks Canton born and raised turned New York City musician and performer who will be joining the musical line up for the first time.
